I just had my steel frame powder coated (professionally, nice job) and
am now going to have someone paint some designs onto the frame--I want
to then have the frame and his artwork clearcoated to seal the deal,
so to speak.
I have been told that oil based paints would cause the clear coat to
bubble. What do folks recommend for the kind of paint to be used in
the artwork so that it and the clearcoat are not damaged?

not have any issues. Most all auto paint today is at least two stage
and designed for a color coat and clear coat.However, I don't know that either product will bond to powder coat.
