I've got my road bike saddle height adjusted properly. When I ride with my hands on the brake hoods,
there's to much pressure on my hands, to ride a long while without moving them frequently. What do I
need to adjust to help relieve this pressure?

It should be the latter.--

What do I need to adjust to help relieve this pressure? This could be one of two things.
1) If you are not accustomed to roak bike riding, you may find the amount of weight carried by your
hands to be excessive at first. But after you get used to it, there is an advantage of placing
some weight on your hands (instead of on the saddle).2) Your saddle may be pointed down at the front. This causes you to slide forward while riding,
which adds stress to your hands and arms pushing you back up on the saddle. Try adjusting the
saddle so that the top is nearly level.--

OK, first go get a good fitting to make sure you are positioned correctly.
THEN, ride with your arms relaxed. Bend your elbows. I think some bike pro once said that your arms
should be relaxed so that you could lift a chess piece in a game while you ride. Whatever that
means. Just relax your arms!--

Have you tried raising the stem so that it is the same height as your saddle? Also, a shorter stem
might help if you feel too stretched out.Bob

What do I need to adjust to help relieve this pressure? The usual answer is to shorten your stem or raise the bars a little higher. If they feel fine when
you are on the tops, but hurt when on the hoods, you could try rotating the bar a bit to raise the
hoods higher while leaving the top in the same spot. That's what I did, and it made a big
difference.--
