  1. I was wondering if all the wise people out there can help in some way. I have had a problem for
several months now which I cant seem to shake and I am tolerating it , but am not really able to do
    much more than that.

I am constantly very fatigued, some days are better than others, but it is always there to some
degree. No matter how tired or untired(excuse the word) I am I am NEVER alert.

One significant thing that I have noticed is that I can suddenly feel much worse after eating
various foods. The other morning, on an empty stomach I drank a glass of milk and what an amazing
effect it had on me!! From a couple of minutes afterwards I could hardly keep my eyes open and my
brain turned to mush! For the rest of the day I couldn't think straight or concentrate! The lights
were on but no one was home so to speak!

As a result over the last couple of days I have cut out foods that contain lactose. I still feel
very tired so I am not sure that milk was the direct cause. Other foods that seem to have some
effect are bananas, bread, Possibly rice.

When I am tired I am constantly craving pick-me- ups like bread and sugary coffee and pasta, but
this just tends to send me into a very sedated state (drowsy).

On the other hand when I try to go without high crab food like bread sugar, and pasta (being vary
careful to make up the deficit in nuts, vegetables ,fruit and meat) I also begin to feel very drowsy
and drunk like, but also feel down. This is in contrast to when I do eat these foods and feel very
drowsy and drunk , but with a regular normal/up mood.

The consequences of not eating these foods are far more severe than eating them?

I have been tested for :
    - reactive hypoglycaemia
    - skin test allergies to milk
    - liver tests
    - diabetes
    - thyroid

The only interesting thing that came up in the tests that my liver bilirubin level was high (the
same as that of an alcoholic – they told me this was gilberts syndrome).

If anyone has any ideas on where I can go from here I would be most appreciate. This is in actual
fact very debilitating and is having a significant impact on my quality of life.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Ray.

  2. It appears that Thiamine may be deficient, however all the foods listed, contain appropriate
thiamine levels. Thiamine deficiency is expressed with elevated bilirubin levels, and thiamine is
destroyed during long term food storage as well as by heat, (UHT milk). Maybe there is some
underlying condition inhibiting thiamine absorption/utilisation such as medication/ Ethanol?

  3. Thanks for the feedback. I guess my next question should be what should my next move be, what would
you guys do in my situation? Who should I try and see.

The other thing that I forgot to mention was that I had a five hour fasting TT. I was at 4.8 before
the glucose then : 2.2 hour 1, 3.4 hour two , 3.9. hour three, 4.8 hour four and then 5.1 hour five.

The doctor said that this was termed very mild 'reactive' hypoglycemia and this would not be the the
    cause of my symtoms.

    Thanks for all you help

  4. Perhaps you have an endogenous enzymes deficient? A pancreatic amylase deficiencies. If you seem to
react with milk, try probiotics like yoghurt or milk treated with lactase. Hope it is of some help?

  5. Ray,

With the kind of symptoms you are experiencing, which are considered non-specific by othodox
medecine, you will never find a solution with a conventionnal doctors. Stop wasting your time
    with them.

You will find much better help with a naturopathic doctor or even better a doctor in functionnal
medecine, but they are hard to find. You can also learn by yourself and probably self treat
yourself, like I did during a few years with success.

If your problems are only fatigue and brain fog, that's pretty easy to solve (compared to my case).
Don't wait until you start having pain everywhere before to make a move.

Your symptoms could very probably be caused by a candida albican overgrow in your intestine.
Don't listen to the flat earthers that will probably respond quickly that this problem does not
exist. This problem is as real as 2+2=4, period. It could be your case, especially if you use to
consume large amount of sugar. Dealing with this problem, however, will not completely resolve
your condition but it can help a lot. Normally, the candida overgrow is a result of an
underlying condition and is not the root cause of everything. (and besides, you don't need to
have AIDS to get a candida overgrow, just in case). There are many natural anti-fungals you can
    use to treat yoursefl.

Also, if your blood sugar dropped to 3.4 during your your 5 hours test, this most probably mean that
you have what we call a Protein type or Hunter-gatherer or acidic type metabolism depending on the
source you read. You are a fast oxidyser and you need to eat a diet rich in protein and fat and low
in carbohydrates. Or you may also be just a mix type and have been eating to much sugar and carb.

Finding your right metabolism and eating accordingly could be the only thing your need to be well on
the long run. But that's not sure.

The very first thing you have to do, whatever your real problem could be, is to eliminate sugar and
all refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, etc) from your diet. Refined carbohydrates are just
[censored] and makes people sick. You have developped a carb addiction and you will have to pass through a
whitdrawal period during which your symptoms will worsen but you will get much better after. Avoid
also grains as much as you can.

If you have to deal with candida elimination, you'l have to follow a very restrictive diet while you
take the anti-fungals. You will experience what we call a dye-off reaction and, once again, your
    symptoms may worsen at first.

I told you enough now to start. Make some searches on the net and you will find a lot of info. In
the meantime, here are a few adresses you can check:

    askwaltstollmd.comindex.html well-net.commettest.html
    homepages.paradise.net.nzdiets.htm mercola.commercola.com

    Good luck
