I got this recipe recently from an article about engineers who also cook,
hence the comment about its being alogicala
"Totally!!!" Teriyaki Chicken
Serves 3-5
For teriyaki sauce:
1 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
5 garlic cloves, peeled and cut in half
For chicken:
3 chicken breast halves, boned and skinned
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper
Combine and stir sauce ingredients in a large bowl, and set aside. Slice
chicken breasts into 1-inch pieces. Heat oil in a wok or other frying pan
over medium heat. Add chicken to the pan. Cook until golden brown - making
sure it is cooked all the way through. Add teriyaki sauce mixture, and
stir constantly, until mixture has thickened to your liking. Serve
immediately.
Serve with white rice. It's cheap, easy, quick - a logical fit.
