So why not harvest points of view from uk.rec.cycling from one posting and
the points of view from uk.rec.driving from a seperate posting? much less
chance of a low signal to noise ratio.

Well, plod seems to care very little about many things these days- lane
discipline, fog lights etc, so why should cycle plod be any different?

You have paperboys? They're a bit thin on the ground round here due to
the pittance the newsagents pays them, combined with the early start
puts most kids off...

I don't. We don't have a paper delivered, and even if we wanted on, I doubt we
could because of where we live. I have, however, seen these paper "boys" on the
drive to the station on days when I go into the office.

It seems very common round here for paperboy's mum or dad to do the
paper round for offspring (Buggger that for a game of soldiers).

Or at any rate drive them round with their papers.
