I've been up Glen Einich many times to get to the Braeriach plateau,
taking the stalkers path on the East side of the loch. Each time I've
wondered whether a path exists on the West side, giving more direct
access to Sgor Gaoith and the Sgorran Ridge. Each time I've dismissed
the possibility as it seemed to me to be quite precipitous on that side
of the loch.
I've now noticed that the Harvey's map of the Cairngorms show a path on
the West side called 'Rosses Path'. Has anyone used this path?
BTW, if anyone is thinking of a route through Glen Feshie to White
Bridge in Glen Dee (as I did a couple of weeks ago), the path at
NN0862901 has been taken away by a landslide - so you need to ford the
Feshie at that point and ford again further upstream to regain the path.
For camping, there's a nice level, grassy spot at NN885891.
