  1. Hi

I own 3 bikes for different purposes and they happen to be equipped with 3 different crank lenghts: 165 - 170 - 172,5

Well... i set up the Seatpost position measuring from top of the seat to the center of the pedals axle, instead of the Crank axle center, on each bike. The result is that my legs are equally stretch on each bike.

Is this setup correct ? Or the benefits and qualities of different Crank lengths won't work in this way ?

    Thanks
P.S. They are a track, touring and road bikes respectively

Yes, that should work -- I know the current "ideal" length that I use for a particular crank arm length, and simply adjust the distance from the BB center with different crank arm lengths, accordingly ...

REGARDLESS, don't forget to adjust the saddle's set-back (fore/aft) position as needed for the various bikes -- I usually do that with the bike mounted on a trainer to verify the position(s).

...and don't forget that that position will be *different* for each of the three bikes.
