I've been working out with my fluid trainer and the Spinervals tapes and I want to know what is
the correct amount of tension/pressure between the rear wheel and the little roller wheel. I want
to make the fluid trainer to feel as close to the road feel as possible. Any suggestions on how
tight to make it or how many turns after the tire and wheel meet? Open to any thoughts you may
have. Thanks.

Just tight enough so it doesn't slip. I often hear 2 1/2 turns after the roller makes contact with
the tire as a general rule.Barry

I have a Kurt Kinetic trainer. They suggest 2 full turns after contact, and that works for me.

I use my heart rate as a gauge, rather than perceived exertion/resistance. I live in a hilly area,
so it is interesting to be able to really plan the workout. On an outdoor ride, my heart rate "is
what it is".Overall, it feels like LESS effort, until I get well into the workout. Also, all things being
more-or-less equal, I notice day-to-day variations in the resistance. They probably have to do with
variations in temperature and tire pressure.rsquared
