Not sure if you can do it in a direct way but IIRC Geko is a Garmin
brand so you probably have a copy of Mapsource. This allows you to
upload tracks from the GPSr and then to open them in GE

I'd recommend that you also get and register a copy of GPS Utility see

This offers lots of versatility in terms of storing, editing and
converting GPS data including tracklogs and waypoints.

Ther is a utility called "Tyre" from ww.tyre.tk that interfaces between
tomtom and G. earth. Might help out.

Yes, that is a very good website. I especially like creating tracks with
colour coding for speed. I want an airplane track to map, they have a
feature for extending tracks down to the ground so that they look like
giant roller coasters.

Memory Map to Google Earth is easy. View your track in MM, right click
on it and choose 'Save as'. Save the track as a GPX file. Then load the
GPX track file in Google Earth.
I sometimes have a little trouble getting GE to load GPX tracks. The
easiest way is to drag and drop a GPX file. Pick it up from the folder
it's in, and drag it into the 'My Places' list in GE.

I use the free GPicSync (http://code.google.com/p/gpicsync/), it's
generally intended to geotag digital photos but as an added bonus it
has a google earth button which when pressed will show your track in
GE and allow you to save it, as a bonus it'll also show any photos
it's managed to geotag.

Not that I know of. All you have is the time line feature which I
dislike because it uses waypoints and not track data to show a position
in time.

Its on a menu in my copy of GE.

CTRL-ALT-P or the "play" triangle button at the bottom of the "Places"
panel.

Thanks Nigel - getting there slowly. When I do ctrl-alt-p the image goes
three-d any it keeps flying the first half mile of the route - any ideas ?
