'memory map' abroad

Memory Map do France, but that probably won't help much in Austria!
There is a page on MM's web site which links to a US site which purports
to offer world wide mapping - whether you'll get anywhere is another
matter!

Germany's OS equivalents do it themselves, rather than licencing it,
with a "run from CD" system using software by "EADS", and the mapping is
not MM compatible.

Lot of help aren't I!

If it's MMOS then it will only run OS licensed maps.

To add additional maps from other sources or ones you have scanned
yourself you will need MM Navigator (sometimes referred to as MM Europe)
which will cost you more money if you do it the legal way

If it's MMOS then it will only run OS licensed maps.

yourself you will need MM Navigator (sometimes referred to as MM Europe)
which will cost you more money if you do it the legal way

Fairly certain that the demo version of navigator may let you do this
although I now have both MMOS & MM france installed so cannot confirm
any more.

I could be wrong but i think if you download the europe version off
the site your serial will work. I have both versions running.

Saw that - it claims to be aimed at 'professional users' with a
minimum order value of $200+ - which is $200+ above my budget ;-)

I could be wrong but i think if you download the europe version off
the site your serial will work. I have both versions running.

Correct. The European MemoryMap Navigator is freely available to
licensed users of the UK OS version.
