I find a couple in the house every year. The really juicy ones seem to

Eh, I only smash cockroaches, because, well, they're roaches, what more
can I can I say, roaches exist to be smashed. And black widows, well,
because their bites are pretty freakin' nasty. I've seen two bites in
the last year and don't want to suffer the same.

I let all other bugs and spiders go and I'll even give them a free ride
outdoors if they've found their way inside my place.

to make their nest on the underside of toilet seats you can guess where

Cool! I found one in the house a few months back. I hate spiders,
especially widows. I grew up with a huge hedge of oleanders which was widow
haven. I use to catch them with fishing flies. Sort of fun to see them
attack and start winding up the fake bug ......just long enough to hose them
with Raid, hehehehehehe.

sort of like hunting scorpions with a black light.

That reminds me to really check my bike before rides and ask a
question. Does anyone else leave their shoes and helmet out in the
garage? As my shoes stink my wife doesn't want them in the house, so
they live in the garage and I have to check 'em every time for small
visitors. I've not seen a widow yet in the garage, but I have squashed
one brown recluse. Most critters get squashed or slashed because I
don't want my 3 year daughter finding them.

Whoa, creepy. I'm generally not all that bothered by bugs and try to
relocate the majority of them. But any known threat like that gets
squashed.
I found a big (for Co) weird looking spider making a web over my porch
the other day. Took some photos of it but haven't posted them. If I get
a chance I'll put them up for show n' tell. I hadn't seen one like that
before. It's body reminded me of a chile pepper like a habanero or
something. Strange. My son and I captured it and took it out to an old
scrap pile across the street instead of smashing it.

Anyone know what it is? We speculated it was full of eggs because of the
big abdomen but I don;t really know. It really creeped out MrsB!
