  1. This one would have been funny if I hadn't been in it.

I was getting started in a local club ride that started at a school. Folks were poking along getting
started, so I and another guy took the lead. We rode around the back of the school, and turned down
a side driveway that led to the main street.

Unfortunately that driveway was blocked by a rope between two posts, at about waist level. It was
into the sun, and so fast that neither one of us saw that rope until it was too late. We both caught
the rope and flipped (bikes and all) over it an crashed on the other side. No serious injuries, but
some good bruises and road rash.

Luckily, the bike was completely unhurt. :-)

I saw the same thing happen about a week ago. Alcohol was involved, but I wasn't. And yes, it was
    quite funny.

Yes, you will heal your bike will not.

This is wreck is very similar to my favorite almost wreck. I was riding at night, full speed without
a light. (Lucky I lived through my young and dumb years.) I hit a wooden road block that looked like
a saw horse that was marking construction that was to begin the next morning. I hit the center of
the 1"x6" road block which shattered on impact. It only left a small mark on the front of my frame.

  5. Sounds like the kind of accident that ski-mobilers often get into. Sometimes they get decapitated.
    That wouldn't be fun 🙁

I think you would be have to going *really* fast on a bicycle to get decapitated. You could break
your neck if the rope was high enough, though.

Oh, yeah, sure, it's REAL funny. Until someone loses a head...
