  1. Do Rock & Run have a shop in Ambleside these days or is it web sales
    only?
I'm after a pair of those 'flip-lock' walking poles and I'm not sure I
trust the parcels service to get them to me undamaged.
    Thanks

It was certainly still there last time I was in Ambleside.

    I suspect you mean "flicklock".

I've had mine survive some pretty high speed wipe outs on skis with
a lot of weight going through them: if the Post Office can destroy
a pair they'd be going at it some.

For peace of mind check that Rock and Run use an insured delivery
service that will replace lost / damaged goods.

Just behind "Barclays Bank" if I remember correctly. It was there a 6 weeks
    ago.

I don't know why, but I always find the "Rock and Run" shop slightly
disappointing when I visit, compared to it's website.

    Since March it's Lakes Runner

    http://www.lakesrunner.com/

Same location. I don't know if it has some connection to Rock + Run or
    not.
