  1. I took my first spill on my bike today. I was coming around a tight corner, took it too wide, and suddenly saw a biker coming right at me. I turned and grabbed the rear break (being the beginner that i am) and slid down on my side. It was about as gentle a crash as could be taken at 20mph, and it doesnt seem like there is any damage to the bike. I am on a carbon fiber frame, and i know there is worry that even if you cant see damage, there could be internal damage. Is this something i should be worried about or can i keep riding it as is?

Have a careful look at every surface of the frame and every component. If you can't see any damage, and it feels normal when you ride it, then it is fine.

  3. If your crash was more of a slide variety your skin took most of the hit, frame should be ok. I've broken CF frames in races where I crashed due to sudden impact. Your damage is probably more on the pedals and/or handlebars than anything on the frame.

Haha.. thats exactly where the damage is... right pedal and handlebar. Thanks.
