  1. Free day today so decided to venture east for a stroll along the South Downs
Way. Excellent weather forecast .... and came true! Started out from Seven
Sister's Country Park and headed down towards Cuckmere Haven. Climbed up
onto the cliffs and had a fantastic walk in glorious sunshine over to
Birling Gap. Topped up the water bottle, then passing Belle Tout light
continued up to Beachy Head. Lunch in the sun with a sea view, then back
down to Belle Tout. Turned north up passed Cornish Farm to East Dean, then
on to Alfriston Forest. Followed a path through the woods to above the
Visitor Centre, then dropped down back to the car. Stunning views, great
walk ...... a very pleasant outing.

Slideshow from along the route at the address below.

    still brings the same excitement!'
