I left the car tonight and it was 93 degrees, sunny and the humidity was so high it rained on me twice. The chip & seal roads are melting (again) and even the dogs are too hot to leave the shade of the trees to chase me. I was dripping all over the bike as I tried to wipe the sweat off of it after the ride.
The road race yesterday was run in 85° temps in a downpour. Sweat and rain made jerseys weigh 5 pounds and stick to skin like a freshly glued sew-up!
C'mon, I know you guys are doing 10+ degrees warmer (but, it's a DRY heat!)...turn on the air and let me know how good I've got it! I remember training in Arizona and it was HOT!
Orlando has been 97 w/humidity. That is as bad as it gets around here. No rain to cool us and we are in the middle of the state, so don't get those nice coastal breezes. Come November though, it gets perfect through May.
The heat index will be way into the upper 100's today when I ride. I am guessing it will be 108 F or so on the pavemant without the index factor. So a 10 mile fast ride is in order. No flats here,just mountains. DAWG DAY RIDIN! :eek:
Its 8am here in phoenix and its already 94 degrees. It will get up to 108 or so today. I usually ride at 5-6am in the summer and a little later in the winter months. If I go for any distance, I bring 3-4 bottles of water with me, usually one of them to cool down, spilled over neck and head area. Humidity this time of year is pretty bad too, this is our Monsoon season(late afternoon storms)

I just got back from my ride and my water bottle boiled, the temp on my computer read holy [censored] and a Beagle chasing me took 3 steps off his grass and on to the pavement and burst into flames and then I rode out of the shady part and into the sun. I can't remember much after that. I don't know why I do it. I must be crazy. It just HOT!
I was going to take a LSR today, but an appointment the wife scheduled saved me - not that hot here in Wisco (~80 F), but the humidity is like 95% - I feel like I'm in Southeast Asia, I swear I saw some Viet Cong hiding in the bushes behind my house.
101 yesterday in the swamps of Louisiana, heat index was 112. I can't walk to the garage without being drenched in sweat. Sadly, 70 degree weather is 3 months away.
Its Congo hot!!!!!
BTW there is no such thing as dry heat in Louisiana. Dry here is 55% humidity!!
Here in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the coolest right now is 34c at 5am with humidity 75% or so. Midday hits 55c in the sun. Our main weekly 100km ride leaves at 5am to avoid heat stroke and the major problem is carrying enough fluids. Good way to shed a few kilo tho! We have the Race of Champions (world's richest road race) coming up in November so it will be interesting to see how the big pro riders do in the heat.

It's cooled off considerably here in west central missouri , heat index's were in the low 100's last week.
thunder showers last nite, 87 f now with 67% humidity heat index 96 now, I didnt ride this morning with the wet pavement and I should have. I will pay for it this afternoon on the ride.
This Afternoon: Partly cloudy, with a high near 89. Heat index values as high as 98. South southwest wind between 11 and 13 mph.
Still I dont miss the dry heat of the Coachella Valley in So. Calif.
It's been raining straight for a week here in Oregon.... From what I saw on the Weather Channel earlier, it should be clear for the rest of the week starting tomorrow.
