Need beef jerky recommendation.

I don't like the peppered flavor, I prefer the original, but I think the
best jerky is Pemmican. It is more tender than most jerkys. Even more
tender is Jack Link's kippered beef steak. Most other jerkys are dry and
tough.

If there's an Asian food store nearby, you'll likely
find an excellent selection of interesting jerkies,
such as pork jerkies, fluffy jerkies (don't know
the technical name), and jerkies flavored with various
fruit juices.

I ended up buying a small bag of Oberto original. The little jerky in the
bag there was were all different sizes and different chewiness. Not good
jerky. And there was a small packet of something (desiccant?) in the bottom
of the bag I almost ate.

I'll try a bag of Pemmican next time around.

The only Asian market I found close by was basically a small Asian 7/11.
Nothing resembling a large variety, busy Asian market. 🙁

I'll keep your suggestion in mind if I happen to find a good one.

Vietnamese curry jerky is my favorite. Nice and tender and

The stuff that Costco stocks isn't bad. And it comes
in a pretty good peppery version. Pacific Brand, I think.
And, of course, it's cheap. 2 lbs for $8 or $11 or something.

Not what you asked for, but, the Quakertown Farmer's Market (aka Q-Mart) is
probably a hike for you, but Frederick's Meats there has the most awesomest
beef jerky EVER. The rest of their meats are excellent too. I won't wouldn't
eat any bagged jerky if I have a shred of hope that I can go to Qtown!
I have a friend that lives in Havertown that comes up , visits us, then goes
to the Qmart and buys like 10 pounds of it.

We've been to Hawk Mountain, it's great - passed it recently on the way
back from camping in NE PS above Scranton. One highlight of that trip was
finding a Wegman's (first time shopping there), but that's another thread!

I'm recently a gout victim, so I'm not gonna go for pounds of beef jerky.
I'll ring them up about other jerky meats. I'll grab some (for the flicks) no
matter.

Getting to Hawk Mountain is a breeze. Getting to the north lookout is a HIKE!
