Hmmmm...haven't heard of them.

I'd be fairly careful about what drivetrain parts to run on the SS as there is so much
pressure on them.

A no-name brand would scare me.

Best I could tell was that they came on higher-end Kleins and other boutique bikes a couple years
back. I'll check with the lbs pros and if they like em, I'll mount them. I'm on my 4th year of
original no-name Shimanos that were original equipment on the Bridgestone, and have served me fine.

Adam, btw, has had trouble with torquing down and actually twisting the chain off the cog if you can
believe that. He's running 16x34 and mashes like a fiend, too. And, he didn't start with as good a
bike as either you or I prior to conversion.

as far as i recollect.. icon isnt a no-name brand. they are treks in house design and as we all kno
trek is tied with bontrager.. so most likely they are quite good quality parts without the bonty
name imprinted on them so they are more cost friendly...

Thanks. My research shows they retailed for $250, which is a little pricey for cranks, unless
they're pretty good, or just expensive (ie, xtr). I'll try and get them on this weekend.

anyone bending spiders on their crank should either learn how to bunny hop better or realize that
biking in their area requires their bike to be outfitted with a good bash guard even xtr's bend
rings .. even race face's bend rings if u hit a big ass rock or a good stiff log.

You are a clueless one, aren't you? Fiest, you have no idea what kind of skill I may or may not
posess. Also, I never said anything about bashing rocks, or other things in the trail. I was
referring to weak junk that can't stand up to the torque generated by a strong singlespeeder. Noname
house brand [censored] is notorious for failing under those conditions. I've bent STX to XT spiders and
not from bashing anything.
