  1. After months of getting the house in order, I've at last managed to get
the bike shed up and more or less running. At 8ft x 6ft it's a little
cramped and I have to take one or two bikes out to work on anything, but
it will save the dining room from damage.

If anyone's interested, there's a couple of pictures at:

That's just too neat and tidy.
I use the garage for all bike work but with 6 bikes, a trike and the
work bench it still feels cramped.

I got to say, I was thinking exactly the same. That's some sort of OCD or
    something?

No, just a new shed. After many years of working in cramped corners and
competing with umpteen other demands for the space, I've at last had the
chance to lay things out properly to hand. I like to keep my bikes well
maintained, so it's good to have tools and parts accessible, rather than
stuck in cardboard boxes under half-used tins of paint.

It's unlikely to stay as neat and tidy as time goes on.

Whatever disorders I may suffer from, the only obsession I'm aware of
has nothing to do with neatness.

You need to fix up some hooks to hang the bikes off. That way you can
    get more in :-)

Your spare inner tube is about to fall off the top of the bathroom
cabinet. May I suggest that you install a couple of hooks to hang
spare inner tubes on so you don't suffer further problems?

Not only very neat, but deliciously cosy. Makes one want to move in!

Very swoosh. I just slapped together some pallets and stuck a tarpaulin
    over the top:

  13. Great shed. What is the tool wall hanging system? I would like to get
    myself one of those.

Yes, but you've got a laminate floor ;-)

My GF found that on a skip. It's basically prettied-up plastic. Stops
the weeds from growing through. :-)

If you're quick, it's currently on special offer at B&Q Warehouse.

You also seem to have painted the pallets very attractively in the
    colours of Team Astana.

If you knew me better you would not even begin to ascribe such a level
of industry and non-laziness to me. That blue is the wood preservative
that was on the pallets when I got them.

Well, you have gone to the trouble of laying the pallets on stones to
raise their level to prevent the unfortunate event of a flood rising
to a sufficient level for the pallets (with bikes) to float away.

No doubt Chep will be ringing you up soon wanting their pallets back 😉.
