  1. A large "coffee table" book will have a picture of Lance on the cover with a glass of champagne........wearing yellow.

He will be fondly remembered as the man that defeated the Tour seven times.

Pantani will be shown flying up hills....

Cipollini will be depicted in a sprint.......

    Ulrich, determined and steady.........

    Millar in a TT...............

A "Festina affair" being a mere footnote...............

Yes, all the hacks with all the theories, the scandals, and the speculation will fade into the ether.

Our opinions mean nothing..........scream, cry, whatever.......it does not change this simple fact.

Pretend that you know the facts, have fun bashing riders, maybe even have real information, but history will honor the victors.......as it always has.

Truer words have never been spoken.

  3. In 50 years the peleton will be running on designer dope that'll make EPO look like Gatorade.

And it'll still be fun to watch a guy in spandex race up a mountain.

  4. I will disagree. Lance is already being remembered as a 7 time doper. Ullrich, Millar, for sure don't fare any better. But Pantani will always be the king of the mountains. The one who could beat the serious dopers and thus had to be removed. Cycling has been on life support since 1999.

Yeah, it's soo funny I can't even muster up a laugh. I guess Pantani was in the "not so serious doper" category.
