I'm having an apple this morning with a glass of V8 juice. Then I'll
horseback ride. No brunch for me today but I'll be grilling outside
    tonight.

Wouldn't wanna break your horse's back after brunch. 😉

Got the same beautiful weather as here in Philly??

I should be out rowing a boat instead of brunch! 🙁

Breakfast for me today was some scrambled eggs and wheat toast at the
luncheonette across the street from where I live. I also read some of
the Sunday newspaper there. I am writing a software review for a local
Macintosh Users Group this morning, then I plan to go out for a long
walk in the park by where I live.

Dinner tonight is a complete mystery for me.

    Andy

We're Sunday Brunching right here at home. I went into Manhattan
    yesterday and got:

    smoked Irish salmon
    chive cream cheese
onion planks (think giant flattened bialys)
herring in cream sauce with onions
    assorted knishes

I'll add in fresh fruit, juices and coffee and boy o boy, we're happy
    campers.

  7. Brunch was

    cup of coffee

    glass of grapefruit juice

    blueberry muffin w/margarine
    english muffin w/cream cheese
    4 rashers bacon

    cup of coffee

sweet & sour chicken with brocolli with wild rice
poached salmon with lemon juice and tartar sauce

    glass ice water w/lemon

2 scrambled eggs with tabasco and parmesan cheese on top

    5 slices kiwi fruit

    glass ice water w/lemon

    Me bad!

I am. I was up at 7 am and had my usual Muffets, with blueberries today,
and hefty dose of espresso. Then I headed of to the stable for my riding
lesson. I stopped and had a coffee with my brother and sister in law, then
got home and cut some rhubarb, made some pastry and put the pie into the
oven to bake while I showered and changed. My wife offered to make brunch
for me. So I am sitting here posting while she is cooking. I just have to
make sure she doesn't pull the pie out of the oven just because the time
goes off. I have hard a hard time convincing her that the timer is a
reminder to check it and doesn't mean it is done. I have had too many
undercooked pies in that past because of that misunderstanding. If she
makes a good enough brunch I might forgive her to that :-)

No, I'm not finished with the diet. I only took a Sunday pause from it.
Tomorrow will be as boring at the kitchen table as Saturday. :|

    Pandora,

I went back up to 250lbs. Doc said to trim down. I began dieting again on
May 25th and am now at 235lbs, NOT including today! My goal is 200lbs.
    hopefully by October 25th.

My closet looks like a pants rack at the store:

    Waist
    --34"----36"----38"----40"--

Muffets are spu wheat biscuits like Shredded Wheat but round instead of
elongated. I used to have Shredded Wheat until a few months ago when Post
came out with a new format box that looks as big at front as the old 24
biscuit size but contains only 18, but the same price as the old 24 box.
    They taste almost the same.

:-) They need to have their fingers slapped. I can't count on pies
always cooking in a predetermined time. They need to be checked. It is
obviously better to check early and allow more time that to leave it and
find out it was in too long. I have had a number of pies ruined when I
made the mistake of leaving her to take them out while I did something
else. The pastry is pale and the fruit is undercooked. yech.

FWIW..... I was out on the patio having brunch and hear the timer go. I
checked it myself, determined it needed 5 more minutes. She took it out
when the 5 minute timer went and it looks good.

Good luck Andy. I was 235. When I hit 200 I became kinda obsessive
and went down to almost 170. I'm about 185 now and have been for
several years. It's a good weight for me. I've got 34-36-38"s in the
closet. 36 is my number. When the 38's were too tight I knew I
    needed to make a change.

    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks Lou!

My best loss was on Atkins (to 195 lbs. in 2003) but I didn't maintain and
with the help from the nice folks at r.f.c I mushroomed back up BIG-TIME in
2004-2005 as I went on a cooking rampage. Figures! 😉
