I had an elephant meat steak at an African restaurant in Waterloo
near to Brussels in the early 1980,s.

Must have been unremarkable as I cant remember the taste.

I also had Giraffe and Kudu deer whilst living in Johannesburg.

This was served as most game meats with quite a strong sauce.

Not too fond of game myself.

Manout Kramer is more then likely off in the jungles of Thailand on
another shooting assignment with his ass hole buddy Justin.. Here is
an elephant recipe which I hope you find helpful.

Elephant Stew (African)

1 medium sized elephant
2 rabits (optional)

Cut elephant into bit-sized pieces.
This should take about 2 months. Salt
and pepper to taste. Add enough
water to make a rich brown gravey.
Cook over a kerosene fire for about
4 weeks at 465F. This serves 3,812
people. If more people are expected
add the rabbits, but only if necessary
because most people don't like hares
in their stew.

I am sure you can substitute Thai elephants. Do let us know how it
turns out and thank you ever so.

Since I posted this request I found an article published in London
around the late 1800s. The author describes elephant as tough and
unpleasantly textured and very gamey. It seems most folks prepare it
by boiling it for days.

I'm not fond of game either, yet I know people who love it.

with their secret way of untoughening up that elephant meat just for
you.

for me i was smart enuf to go to the local booth and get both elephant
ears for 5.oo ; not tough at all, was nice and thin and crunchy. i can
hear better too.
