    Naw...LOL.

I am a neonatal intensive care RN... There are some very tiny babies
at work. One is just a tad over a pound right now...and at birth
(over a month ago) weighed under a pound.

OB food: I will be putting together my WSM sometime later this
evening and defrosting a chicken to put in it tomorrow. I was
watching Barbecue University a short time ago (while waking up) and
saw Steven Raichlen do Beer Can Chicken. I am wondering how that
    would work in the WSM?

I'm not a fan of beer can chicken, but everybody should try it.

    Once!

It will work as well on your WSM as it will work anywhere else.
Remember, when it's done, you have a hot chicken with very hot liquid in a
can that is now stuck up the chicken's butt.
    Try it

I just use a vertical roaster...works well and no boiling hot liquid in a
    can disposal problems

I admire you Christine. Only had to work NICU occasionally and I hated
every minute. Those tiny lives frightened the heck out of me!

That works much better, IMO, than beer-butt chicken and will work well with
    her WSM.

My solution to whole chickens is to either hang them, on a meat hanger
(won't easily work on a WSM), or to spatchcock them. Moist and juicy.

Hands on hip. I've told you and told you that vertically roasted
chicken is great... but you have to watch tv to do it. Hruuumph.

BTW: I saw an actual vertical roaster built to hold a beer can
yesterday at Target.... or was that Home Depot?
