    Try 1/2 tsp. minced for each small clove.

    Usually 1 Tsp. That is what my mother used, my grandmother, etc. However,
    keep in mind that dried garlic has a different flavor than fresh. When a
    recipe calls for garlic I usually do half fresh and half dry so that I get
    the best garlic flavor.
