I wonder how they execute guys like him. Maybe make him eat pet food and
then brush his teeth with "funny" toothpaste?

I shouldn't have laughed, but I did. Partly because I was wondering
how they killed him.

If I remember correctly, his 'assistant' is also under a death
warrant. But if he seems reformed it will be commuted to life in
prison.
And it only took them 6 weeks from sentencing to fry him. No 14
years appeal process.

Usually with a pistol bullet to the back of the head, ala Mafia killers
in the movies.
Just imagine what we could do in the US if we took that tack with
crooked politicians and bureaucrats. Probably empty out the state,
local, and federal bureaucracy almost instantly.

Since prisoners run factories he will probably be making toothpaste.

Louisiana, Chicago, and Washington DC. would collapse into anarchy.
(That's not necessarily a bad thing) ;;-)

Interesting. Pretty silly to kill a person over bribery. Hard labour for
life, and the Forfeiting of his possesions and estate would be a more
reasonable sentence.
I'm not sure how killing a person solves a problem or makes a good
deterrent. It obviously does not work in China or the USA.
As far as USA crime and death penalty is concerned, just look at other
western or civil countries, like Canada and various European countries,
compare crime statistics. I find it so ironic that the USA questions Chinas
human rights values.
Yeah, I know I'm straying away from "the humor" of killing a food safety
guy....

In China, many things are done to create illusion. They kill people for
stealing a few gallons of gasoline. In Japan, as recently as the late 1800s,
a nobleman could kill someone who "disturbed his harmony". It ain't Kansas.

I guess they think of it as a form of treason.

"Would"? You obviously haven't tried to deal with a bureaucrat recently.
I think they dote on spoofing the public they "serve."

I don't thinks there's enough gold in Ft. Knox to buy that many
bullets.

Do you think he'll find Jesus like the condemned do here in the USA?
Most likely it'll be Buddha.

I heard about that on the radio this morning.
Too bad we don't have that kind of "justice" here!
Who knows how many people (and pets) that greedy bastid killed?
He was no better than any other mass murderer.
Sorry to be so harsh, but he really did deserve it! I take public
service jobs pretty seriously.

How many people did he murder with his negligence thru bribery?
He's no better than a serial killer.

Via some cough syrup that killed people in Panama, I'd say quite a few.

Given China's past practice, they'll shoot him through the head and send
his family a bill for the bullet.
