    1 pounds shrimp -- Jumbo
    Sauce :

    for shrimp
combine all ingreidents except shrimp in a small bowl , add shrimp
and marinate 1/2 hour in refrigerator thread on to skewers and grill
    basting with marinade.

    for sauce
Combine all in a small bowl, place bowl in center of large platter
lined with lettuce leaves, place the skewers of grilled shrimp around
the bowl of sauce and serve.

I served the shrimp skewers on romaine leaves and use them as taco
shells.I served some extra fillings in little bowls to doll up the
"tacos" even though the sauce Is you really need ....... fantastic.
Even though I had to used the sauce sparingly ...

    Recipe Notes

Here is a recipe from DRW new cookbook "the new California cook "
and this is one of the first recipes I made from it .. the shrimp were
Fantastic. Served her Chilled Avocado and Cucumber Soup.
