    Serves 4
    Published in: Dallas Morning News

    1 large head broccoli
    2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
    1 teaspoons kosher salt
1 clove garlic -- grated on a Microplane grater or minced very fine
1/2 teaspoons dried red chile flakes

Preheat oven to 500 F. Trim broccoli into florets. (You should have about
4 cups .) Rinse and drain florets. Put florets in a bowl with the olive
oil, salt, garlic and chile flakes and toss to coat. Spread the seasoned
broccoli in a single layer on a baking sheet and put it in the preheated
oven. Bake until edges of the florets are browned and crisp, about 4
minutes. Serve hot. Makes 4 servings.
