  1. Shipwreck Stew

    1 lb groud beef, browned
4-5 potatoes, cut into french fry like strips
    1-2 onions, chopped
1 (16 oz) can light redkidney bens, drained*
    1/4 lb velveeta cheese, cubed
    1 (10 3/4 oz) can tomato soup
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    butter

Layer in slow cooker in this order: ground beef, potatoes, onions, kidney
beans and cheese. Pour soup over top. Season with salt and pepper. Dot with
butter. Cover. Cook on low 6-8 hours.

    * We dont use the beans. We use carrots

Note: This is particularly good with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top at
table. Not the one that I usually do but this is what I am doing today..
