In the US, posted means you were mailed somewhere, or nailed to a
wall, or it means you were standing just outside the paint.

In any case, you aren't posted to a ship. You are assigned to one.

You're saying that writing "b****ed" is not rude, but writing the
replaced characters on their own, in a separate post, with nothing but
"These are the characters I left out: [censored]" would be rude.

How is writing "b***ed" not rude, if everyone (but me, apparently)
knows what word you didn't write?

To explain it, you would have to have enough brain cells to figure out what
that word is, and also, you must have the mentality of someone over 18 years
old, which by the banter you have given here, you dont.

You didn't answer the question. You made a big deal about how obvious
the word was. You said the guy who supplied the missing letters had
more than half a brain because he knew what you thought was obvious.
You meant that everyone would know that b****ed was [censored]. But you
said you wrote b****ed instead of [censored], because you didn't want to
be rude. But if it is obvious that b****ed is [censored], then how is
    writing b****ed not rude?

You're about to meet a lot of rude people aboard your ship, not to
mention all the youth who will be showering with you.

You're about to meet a lot of rude people aboard your ship, not to
mention all the youth who will be showering with you.

Ok, when was the last time that a navy had children serving....

Right now? The lower age limit for enlisting in the Canadian navy is
    17. 16 for reservists. Maybe I'm just old, but I've always considered
the teenage years to be in the youth range. You don't?

You are proving more of my point as you type.

Glad to oblige, but you didn't answer the question. You made a big
deal about how obvious the word was. You said the guy who supplied the
missing letters had more than half a brain because he knew what you
thought was obvious. You meant that everyone would know that b****ed
was [censored]. But you said you wrote b****ed instead of [censored],
because you didn't want to be rude. But if it is obvious that b****ed
is [censored], then how is writing b****ed not rude?
