Website design: Vaude (OT)

nothing under Angus, so next stop in my local geography is Fife or
Perthshire. That gives me my nearest stockists. As long as you
have some notion of where you actually live and how close local
places are to that, it's not exactly rocket science!

All sorts of other reasons it's terrible, but the stockists list
seems to be okay to me.

How are you getting the search box up I've tried in outlook explorer
and all I get are a list of the first 20 or so suppliers without
anyway of scrolling down all I can do is call up the last 20 or so
suppliers or the first & last of which heading I choose but no
searches please help.

I get a scrolling list of everything in the UK. I do Control+F to do a
"Find", type in, for example, "Perth", and it tells me what I need.

That's with Firefox 2, which is my default browser. Just tried it in
Internet Exploder and indeed the scrolling doesn't work there, so nul
points to them for not checking it on the most widespread browser, but
you can still do a Find on the whole table in IE, so do Ctrl+F, type in
your county and you might get somewhere. Or alternatively, put Firefox
on your machine.

Thanks for that 'East Yorkshire' brings up 2 suppliers one with a hull
address and telephone number 01492 instead of 01482 oh dear they cant
even get the info right too.

Have you pointed this out to them? Vau De have never really had a UK
importer that seemed much good at getting stuff out, aside from tents
and bike panniers. Shame, as it strikes me as very good kit.

Back to the OP wanting "hiking shorts", I've always found running shorts
better: lighter, more comfortable, better freedom of movement and faster
drying, and generally cheaper too. Only downside is no pockets (aside
from a wee internal one for a key), but most "proper" hiking shorts of
ridiculously over-supplied. More pockets is more material is slower to
dry out, and if you fill them up it reduces freedom of movement. I
prefer to keep stuff in higher pockets where it doesn't affect what my
legs do.
