Hi...I would like to participate in next years St. Anthony`s triathlon. I never done a triathlon
before in my life. I would have a few starting questions, and would appreciate any guidance.
1) I ran the NYC Marathon 2 weeks ago. But still have to do the swimming and biking training. Can
you recommend any good training suggestions?
2) I just bought a used bike. I think it was a deal. I bought a Cannondale MS800, 1997, with
Shimanno600 for $300. It looks great. Do you think I got screwed with this deal or if it works
fine it should do it for a beginner like me? Should I check it out in a bike store, what should I
ask them to look into/change/not touch?
3) Anyone in the Boston area with experience who I could hook up with?
4) I dont understand when you change from swim to bike, or bike to run, do you have storage for your
shoes, etc., or do you have to carry your running shoe on your bike, etc? For a start, this would
be great to know. Thanks, HT

There are a few good triathlon clubs in the Boston and East Ma areas. Try

training partners and great fellowship with people of all abilities. Best of luck with your future
