Would a Masi Alare be an OK bike for a beginner? I'm looking to ride for fitness and no distances over 25 miles. Thanks

Of course, it's good... how the hell did you get it in USA, does the Masi industry also sell its frames down there???

Although I own a Masi Gran Criterium that is made in Italy (a grey market import that came in with Ferrari shipment!), Masis were built in California after I got that bike.
For awhile they were just painted here, then built here. masibikes.comhistory.phpOpen ↗

a guy has been bringing the new ones into the US for a while
I emailed him a while ago, and he was pretty quick to reply
He posts on Bike Forums as "Masiguy". If you click on "find posts" you'll see a lot of stuff he's said about the bikes
