  1. I've just had my trusty Edinburgh Bike Cooperative Revolution Courier
Nexus nicked by some toerag. The insurance has decided that they're
going to pay out by delivering a Ridgeback Nemesis in large - however,
as I used my EBC bike as a daily commuter, I've bought another in the
    interim.
So, I now have a spare bike for sale...brand new, unboxed, 12 months
warranty from manufacturer etc. Nexus 8 speed gear hub, Conti sport
contact tyres and hub brakes should make it a great commuter or
    general hybrid for someone.

If this is out of order by charter then please let me know and I'll
shut up, but if not, and anyone's interested...replace "publicmail"
with "home" to email! Retails at £499 pretty much everywhere - I was
looking to get the £350 I spent to replace my Courier...

Advertising it is not so bad, particularly if its one post from a
regular, but advertising it twice half an hour apart under different
subject lines is another matter altogether.

    shut up,

There are no hard 'n fast rules, but I think it's generally frowned on -
note the absence of ads from the headers on this group - but in any case,
you'd reach a far wider potential audience on ebay, which would probably end
up giving you a better selling price.

There is a charter for this group somewhere, but generally it's allowed
so long as it isn't too often, and the subject line starts "FS" or
    similar (as in For Sale!!)

Argh, sorry. I've posted via google groups, and it appeared it'd lost
my first post - and checking now both are there. Sorry all. <hangs
