If you are from Portland, do you know or remember a radio station that
came on at 6am in the morning with the song, a bugle-type song,
entitled, "You gotta get up, you gotta get up in the morning." I've
been looking for the call letters or name of the station for years --
well, since 1992 when I was there for several months.

Assuming you mean Roakes in Portland, OR on 99E
(McLoughlin Blvd.) in - I think - Gladstone. I've been
there a few times but never had a rich boy.

There were several Roakes for a while. The one on 122nd burned down,
and I don't know what became of the other two. Anyway, it was a great
little sandwhich and I would like to make one sometime for dinner but
for the life of me, I can't quite remember how they were made other
than they were served on French bread instead of the usual buns. :-)

I'm sorry I can't help ya, Dee; at 6 am I'd dead to the world. But it
sounds like an AM station to me. I'll ask around and if I get a bite,

Can't help with the radio station name, Dee, but it's sung to Reville
(military bugle call). My mom used to wake me up when I was a kid singing
that. Drove me NUTS!

Must've driven her nuts, too.

But the station came on in the a.m. with that song and AT THE TIME the
show was very funny. I lost track of the station's name.

My dad used to do that to me. It's hard to believe it was Irving
Berlin's verse. Dad substituted kill for murder in the verse below while
he roared it at my supine, sleepy and cranky self.
