  1. Seems like it's convenience-food week for us this week. Last week
was hellish, and I'm taking all the shortcuts I want, guilt-free.
Last night, I ate ravioli out of a can. ;-)

Tonight, crackers and goat cheese as appetizers, refrigerated
tortellini (vegetable and cheese), mushroom sauce made from roasted
garlic and reduced Pacific mushroom soup; spinach (from frozen).

Someone feed my foody brain with something fabulous you're making.
Go on, you know you wanna.

I would pay money to eat that right now, if I had any money. :-)

(It looks *nothing* like the paella I ate when I was a kid, but it
    looks incredibly delicious.)

Yeah, I did some things to compensate for forgetting to do some other
things... If I had done it totally right, it might have looked more
    authentic...LOL

For one thing, I think I had some old saffron. It wouldn't dissolve
well... Another thing is, I forgot to salt the chicken before doing
the cooking of it...and I put it into the pan earlier than I should
have in hopes of getting a bit of salt cooked into it. Otherwise, it
would have been on top of the rice for the most part.

    Next time....

Sometimes I will utter the words "Jeeze Louise!" My children used to
ask me who Louise was. lol When we saw the movie Grumpy Old Men, one
of the men said "Geeze Louise". My children asked me if that is where I
heard it. I will tell them I heard it from sf.

*grin* My ex-wife's mother was named Betsy, so she would often say
    "Heavens to Mom!"

ObFood: Sushi for lunch (ate out with friends); Dinner was
store-bought ravioli with homemade mushroom sauce and medallions of
peppered goat cheese, with artichokes on the side. Yumma.
