These look disgusting. I must try them. I'm thinking they would make
a good fundraiser for my school:

Just put a batch in my fridge according to the directions in the article
(only made half gallon). We're going camping Memorial Day weekend and
thought it would something fun to bring and gross out everyone. Might even
get someone to try one on a dare.

Please report back!
I'm not sure I understood the directions. Did you drain the pickles
of all pickle juice and then put them in the Kool-Aid? The recipe
called for cutting the pickles in half, but they look so much prettier
whole.

Here's what I did...
Kool-Aid Pickles
1/2 gallon jar of dill pickles
1 pkg. of Cherry Kool-Aid
1/2 pound of sugar
I poured pickles and juice into a large bowl. I put 4 cups of water, 1/2
pound of sugar and Cherry Kool-Aide into empty pickle jar. I then shook it
until all sugar and Kool-aide was dissolved. I added back the "whole"
pickles. I, too, thought they'd look better. We'll see. The kids ate 2
pickles so there was a bit of room left in jar. I added back just enough
pickle juice to make sure jar was full. Then I put it into fridge.
<You pull the pickles from the jar, cut them in halves, make double-strength
Kool-Aid, add a pound of sugar, shake and let it sit - best in the
refrigerator - for about a week. The taste takes to anything. A while back I
made a mistake and bought a jar of pickle chips instead of halves or wholes.
Came out fine. This whole Kool-Aid pickle thing is going so good, you wonder
why somebody hasn't put a patent on them.>
