  1. Just saw these at the Fresh Market for the first time. They're not exactly
round, kind of oblong and darker green.

Anybody used them? I'm wondering if they taste different.

They're ideal for French Green Lentil Salad. I've posted
a recipe here in the past.

I've tried lentil salad with other types of lentils, and
the French Green ones are the best for this purpose.

I'll have a look at it in the archives, thanks.

They taste weird too, just like Chinese medecine portions I've known.
    All my family like them,
    on weekly basis.
The golden ones are not bad either.

I had green lentils as a side dish with a meal in France a few years ago
and they were very tasty, nice tasting IMO than the brown lentils. Before I
tried the green lentils I was not a bog fan of them, but was inspired to
try them at home. I didn't have much luck. I should learn how to cook them
so they will be as good as I ate over there.

    Hmmm, is that possible?

Aha, see, I love brown lentils. This means the French ones must have
    a very different flavor.

    A challenge!

I love the ones they call "rainbow," they are regular brownish
lentils but with pinkish and greenish tones.

Since you know about "french" lentils.... are they really wrinkly or
is that just an optical illusion?
