  1. I just watched Paula Deen on Oprah's show and she said "We're all
about flowers in our house. Brandon and I just love flowers" Who's
Brandon and what happened to Michael Groover? Inquiring minds want to
    know.....Sharon

I quick google search seems to indicate that it would likely be her
    personal assistant, Brandon Branch.

What in the world is meant by "Oprah's show"?

Why am I asking these questions? I really don't care.

Paula Deen is a tv chef that basically makes edible meals with garbage and
    adds LOTS of salt.
Indeed she says in one of her cookbooks that Southern Cooking is basically
    'poor folks' food.

Gee, I guess I've been misinformed. I thought she was the Queen of Butter! ;-)

I watched Oprah after you mentioned it here. I thought the show was
great. 8 new inventions, all vying to be on QVC which I have never
seen, but those are some creative minds. I think those brunch
biscuits looked awesome🙂. I thought Paula Deen and Carson were
great. (The flower "frog" as my mother used to call it, was only
    so-so.)

Paula Deen is about flowers and her husband and her kids and yummy
food. As she once told Oprah when Oprah asked "How many calories?",
Paula answered🙂, "I'm your cook not your doctor!".<vbg>

Paula is all about butter and sugar. I gain weight watching her. Then I
want to be sick watching her taste her food. I'm sure she's a nice lady
but the facial orgasms she exhibits make me yak a little in my mouth.

LOL.. that's funny....but so true! The big mouth smacking away. Ugh.
I can't abide watching her hands either. All those rings on her fat
sausage fingers kinda gross me out. (why DO women with short fat fingers
insist on wearing too many rings? Very tacky) I think of how clean or
unclean her hands would be under all those rings as she puts her hands
into the food.... <feeling a little of that yak myself>

What I notice about women who wear big gaudy rings on their TV cooking
shows is that their rings never come into contact with the food.
Their rings are sparking to the end and it doesn't matter if they were
making meatloaf of bread dough. Nothing stops them glittering.

If I wore one of those rings when I cooked, I'd have to put it through
the dishwasher just to clean it off.

Wonder if they clean them between takes?

She used to take them off before she really dug into her food, like
mixing meats for meatloaf or bread dough. She'd say that Michael
wouldn't like it if she lost it in the mix.

  17. I look at Paula Deen's show as rehearsed entertainment, the same way I
look at any comedy or drama. I don't see a comedy and complain that in
real life people don't really think of such funny things to say. I
don't see a romance and complain that in real life those two characters
wouldn't fall for each other. I don't see a science fiction movie and
complain that the scientific inventions are actually impossible. I take
for granted that the writers have played with the truth for the purpose
    of entertaining.

So for me, watching a cooking show where all the prep is done ahead of
time, and all the clean up is done later, and the chef is always in a
good mood, and has an unlimited budget, and is never under time
pressure, and doesn't wear her perfectly coifed hair under a net, and
has rings on her fingers, is not terribly different from seeing
characters on t.v. who never have to go to the bathroom.

  19. Not to worry. Brandon is her personal assistant. Trust me, he's no
competition to Michael. Brandon is gay.

Check this out, someone is selling Paula's screen worn outfit from her
    first movie Elizabethtown.
