I'll start off. I got a Wynnster Europa 2 at the end of last year as
a 'bin-end' buy but I see that Tiso is selling the same tent as the
Traveller with one or two improvements - more peg points on the
flysheet, etc. Wynnster took it off the market but Tiso obviously
reckoned it was a good design and have kept it on. They did have it
in the shop for £99.

I haven't used it in testing conditions but for the price as a 3kg, 2
man tent it is performing well.

The stuff from Quechua brand you can get in Decathlon is usually of
reasonably good quality. There's the model T2 ultralight for £59 - quite a
bargain considering this tent is equipped with aluminium poles...! The
numerous reviews on the web (mostly french) seem to be quite positive.

If you are near a Decathlon store you might want to look at their T2
Ultralight for £59 at 2.9kg. Or the pro version which is less roomy but
2kg.

I had a look at the T2 Ultralight a couple of years ago and it actually
seemed quite decent considering the price.

This is a 3 man, but you'd struggle to get 3 in it and it's much more
comfortable for 2. If you're set on a 2 man tent which are very small, then
this model is also available as a 2 man tent, which is called an avior x2
Putting up and taking it down is a breeze and it's got both a front and side
door which I though was good.

If you can stretch a bit further budget-wise, the Vaude tents seem
excellent for what they cost. I've stayed in one on an alpine pass in
very bad whether, and it stood up well. It's reasonably light, and a
good bit cheaper and lighter than, say, a Wild Country. Quick to erect
too.
That said, it's probably rather closer to £200 than £100, though
there's often a deal going.

Alternatively, the ultra-cheap tents from the likes of Lidl and so on
are now vastly better than twenty years ago, as the designs are pretty
well knock-offs of proper brands. Even if the details and materials
are a bit inferior they do appear pretty good, and incredibly cheap. A
friend bought a £30 lightweight peapod style tend - reduced to £15,
which is just crazy. Seemed to have copied nearly all the features of
a proper make, and stood up quite well for what it was.
You'd want to have a good look on a case-by-case basis with these I
feel.
