Overnight Munro

Plenty near Crianlarich, Rannoch Station and
Fort William.

I'd second that - there is quite a space on the summit, including a
small lochan, but I'm sure space for a tent could be found, and it is
VERY close to the station.

I did it some years ago on Mac Dhui. It's a bit disapointing as at this
time of year it takes a long time for the sun to rise (and set), such
that there's just a very gradual lightening of the horizon, rather than
a sudden dramatic blaze of light.

I did it some years ago on Mac Dhui. It's a bit disapointing as at this
time of year it takes a long time for the sun to rise (and set), such that
there's just a very gradual lightening of the horizon, rather than a
sudden dramatic blaze of light.

I'd recommend the Mamores or Grey Corries. Seeing the pictures in the
Wilderness Walks book of a traverse of Ben Nevis, Carn Mor Dearg and Aonach
Mor and Beg as an overnighter has always inspired me to want to have a go.
