Just to save anyone else following up this link, most of the tops have
been booked already; that's not to say of course that only one group
can go up any one hill.

Am I alone in being pretty dubious about this game? Yes, water, clean,
drinkable water, is a vital need for many communities, but just how
many groups of guys are going to head for a Munro, notr because they
love the high hills, but because they have been motivated by group
spirit and the charitable sponsorship. How many of them will then leave
banana skins, coke cans, empty PET bottles and all the rest along the
route up and down? Probably the cost of the fuel they burn to get to the
lay-by will dwarf the donation eventually received by the worthy
    charity?

Interesting thought about the cost - let's say it takes 1500 people to
do this at an average of £25 / head - fuel costs, B&B for the remoter
hills, etc. That's ~£40k. What will they raise ? Again let's say
average £100 /head = £150,000 - so the cost of raising this is near
enough 25% of the total and that doesn't include the charity
administration costs. I see your point !
