As Tony says close but not equal. They made the 2120 a little lighter
and thus the shoe feels different. Unlike Tony, I did not have any
problems with the first pair wearing them from cradle to grave and
ordered three more pairs. I have worn every pair since the original 2000
through the 2120 and only found a problem with the 2090's. That's a
bunch of years and ultra runs on a single model with a myriad of subtle
changes with some just color.

I always order enough pairs such that I get through my training AND
upcoming race(s). There is nothing more frustrating then getting close
to race day to find they stopped making your model and have to find a
new shoe to race in.

In addition I wear them on all surfaces(trails and roads), for all my
training and racing. Many of my running variables I have no control over
so I at least like to hold my footwear constant.

In general, never assume a later version is an "improvement" for *you*
or even a small change. Usually an improvement for someone is a setback
for someone else.

Actually they have held the price fairly consistent over the past model
changes and they were more than color changes.
