Would you listen if [help, advice] was offered?

Not if it was offered in typical Doug fashion where we're supposed to
guess who the advice is for:

"A few people on this group could benefit from more rest days."

"I happen to know that one of you has precancerous cells in
his prostate, and someone else's ferritin levels are drifting
dangerously low. Y'all might want to get that looked into.
Of course I'm not saying who."

"Next week's powerball numbers? Yeah, I've got that. No, not
    telling."

    Ask Lance.

    Yeah, because

[a] I need someone to tell me what to do and show me how to do it, and
[b] lance is that guru/role model for me.

How about, instead, I listen to what everyone says, including you and
certainly including lance and even those mysterious voices in my head
which come and go, and maybe even including a few big-name mucky-mucks
with recognizable names who allegedly know what they're talking about,
and a few of those 2:1x marathoners and 8:2x steeplechasers we all
like to cite. Then I throw out the obvious BS and shove the probable
BS somewhere way in the back of the freezer behind the vegetable
trimmings for eventual stock, and try some of the remaining bits which
sound appealing. And then listen to my body and watch the results.

Would that satisfy you, or must I forswear all other allegiances and
adopt the Douglass Freese Certified One Size Fits All Training Program
    in its entirety?
