Bad idea. The chelation people will tell you that you have to take megadoses of antioxidants while
doing it - does that sound like something you want to expose yourself to, namely lots of potential
free radical damage? Just stay away from unsaturated fatty acids and oxidized cholesterol and you'll
be fine. A little coffee, or my suggestion, sorghum molasses, now and then will be more than you
need to make sure you're not getting too much of an unwanted metal, unless your diet is very high in
it, but nothing may help an awful diet anyway. I have a few very old relatives who have those age
spots, which are iron mostly. The body can deal with such metals, but in combination with
unsaturated fatty acids and adipocytokines (those with a "beer belly" have too many of these), all
bets are off - chelation or not. Just eat foods that are high in antioxidants and low in oxidizable
items and you've got 90% or more of the problem licked.
