What the hell are you talking about? I most certainly DID BACK WAY OFF.
Now you can back off too. I had been pushing to run over 20 miles a week,
and now I am running less than 15. My mileage is just fine. I am running
well within my abilities. Three 3 mile runs and a 6 mile run is NOT pushing
    it.

Fine, except you are the one that is injured. Glad that you learned
    everything so fast.
Now you're about done too maybe.

You know, I have listened to what I was told. But to some degree, you have
to take things with a grain of salt. Do you really expect someone new to
running to make a $250 investment in shoes? What purpose?

If this is really a commitment and you are "determined", there is no
    turning back.
Failure is not an option. I would expect that now that you know the
ropes, you will begin to aquire an inventory of shoes to select from.
Some are better for rain for example. Even an old worn shoe can be
used occasionally. I actually have shoes over three years old that I
sometimes pitch in the mix during winter. Shoes are never an
investment any more than gas for your car is an investment. They just
get you where you are going. Without any gas, you ain't going. A
little extra in the tank doesn't hurt.
