Can anyone suggest a good running watch in the UK. I want it to be simple, large (illuminated) display, able to set an alarm (beep) on each minute, stopwatch, and that's it. Oh, and maybe the time 🙂

I don't want anything complicated like GPS etc.
Thanks
The Timex Ironman Triathlon series is a good one. I used to have the 100-lap version before it conked out when I changed batteries. Now I have the 30-lap version. Have had it for the past 3-4 years and am happy with it. One other non-GPS brand I've heard about on this group is Casio. Some think it's better than Timex. I haven't had the chance to use it. But, hopefully, someone will be along soon to tell you more about it.

I assume that Timex offers their full line in the UK. I have this one and it is by far my favorite running watch ever.
In the states it is called the Timex Sleek 150. There is a cheaper 50 lap version also. Both were hard to find when I bought mine a month ago. I had to ask the LRS to special it for me.

I'm going to piggy-back and join the chorus of votes for the Timex Ironman series.
All models should have a "night mode" where the display lights up whenever you hit a button.
What I especially like about using the newer ironman models for intervals is that they have a start/lap and stop/reset button configuration (instead of the traditional start/stop, lap/reset setup). And the start/lap is a big button in the middle of the watch -- very easy to hit it, even if you're running and wearing mitts.
You should check about the interval timer (the "alarm on every minute" feature that you mentioned), this varies by model.
