How to keep away from Getting Migraines HeadachesBefore I started Atkins I got 3-5 "common migraine" aka
"cluster" headaches per year.Since I started Atkins in 1999 I have had 1, and that was
during a month I was very far off the wagon. Even very
poor adherence to maintenance has been to keep them
from coming back *at all*. -
Going low carb GAVE me headaches until I figured out I was eating too
much protein and not enough fat. Since I adjusted my ration, they went
away. -

Going low carb GAVE me headachesMigraines and other types of headaches are not the same and
have different causes. It's quite common for new low carbers
to have headaches in the first 2 weeks but they aren't migraines.
So if this was in the first 2 weeks all anything you did in weeks
3 on didn't actually make the headaches go away - What did it
was being on low carb long enough for the initial transient to
pass.Quoted message said:

High-protein - low-carb - low-fat diets have caused problems over
the years. Headaches could very well be one such problem. -

exactly where the knots are in my back that are causing it. A carb
binge lasting more than a day or so, especially involving a lot of
sugar, used to bring them back with a vengeance, no matter how my back
felt.--

drink a half liter of water it's gone in a few minutes so it was
a sign of dehydration. Sometimes it's from lack of caffeine
which tells me I need to go decafe for a while.
