This is not an original recipe, saw it posted a few times in some lo carb
forums and once I tried it, it has really given me some more eating options.
Take a Kraft American cheese slice (or the American cheese slices the delis
slice for you), lay it on a flat silicone item (I use one of those silicone
suction lids turned upside down or you can use parchment paper I read) (I
read that Provolone or Pepper Jack cheese works but haven't tried them yet)
Microwave on high 35 seconds to 3 minutes. You have to watch it to see when
it just starts to get brown on top and it differs with microwaves. Mine is
a cheapy and takes the whole 3 minutes.
As the slice cools it will pop off the silicone. (haven't tried the paper).
This makes a great "sandwich" using 2 slices, one spread with horseradish
mustard and 1-2 slices of Jeannie O's Turkey Pastrami. OR I've also put
cream cheese or sour cream on a slice with a pkt of Splenda or the flavored
Splenda pkt. I imagine I'm eating either a danish or some cheesecake, LOL.
The Kraft American or the deli american is water based or something so you
don't have the oily end-result like you do with cheddar and some other
cheeses.
