  1. Pat recently mentioned taking pro-biotics to restore a state of balance
in the intestines after taking an anti-biotic. I've had to take anti-
biotics several times over the last year and am taking some right now.
I'm also seeing some annoying changes in my digestion that I suspect
have to do with that. When taking pro-biotics, should they be taken
AFTER finishing a course of anti-biotics or WHILE taking them. I'm
guessing that taking them at the same time might be pointless if the
antibiotic is going to keep killing them off.

Both. But when taking them during, separate taking them by a few hours.

I'm too cheap for that. These probiotics are too expensive to waste.

  4. Several folks in my local weightloss surgery support group take them to help
with bowel health. We take them regardless of taking an antibiotic or not
but if you are only taking them to offset the antibiotic then I would
reccomend taking them after you complete your course. The thought is that
taking them during the course may cause an antagonistic effect in your
bowel, thus not getting the result you want. Hope this helps:-)
