  1. Hey, just picked up a pair of barcons in preparation to order the Paul's mounts. Then I go to
    thinking: "I wonder if the barcons would fit on the old-style top mounts that I have now?"

    Anyone?

    That'd save people $50...

    Are you asking "can I combine bar-con shift levers with thumbshifter mounts?"... the answer is no.
    The interface between the mount and the shift lever is radically different.

    The Forge mounts are the only (AFAIK) devices which will do what you're thinking about.
